Scott received a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Shortly after taking the pastorate of Grace Church, God planted a vision of building a multi-racial and multi-cultural congregation in his heart. Today Grace has people from over 20 different countries in our church family.
Scott has a heart for sharing the Gospel worldwide and encouraging pastors and leaders in many different countries. Recently he’s made multiple trips to the Dominican Republic and Kenya to do leadership training with pastors.
Scott enjoys triathlon training, weight lifting, playing golf, and participating in just about any sport. He likes to spend his free time with his wife, Kathie, gardening, playing board games, hiking, or cooking together. You might see him driving around Stamford in the ’67 VW Bug that he restored.
Along with Pastor Taylor, the Elders serve Grace Church by supporting our commitment to love God, love people, and make disciples. Relying on the Holy Spirit, the Elders seek to provide direction to the church's spiritual growth and healthy functioning, both as a family and as salt and light in our community.
The Deacons care for and maintain the church's property of all kinds, to the glory of God. The Partnership's generosity has kept the Church's sanctuary, fellowship hall and parsonages well-loved through frequent use.
The Missions Committee oversees the Church's support of missions locally, domestically, and around the world. The Committee serves as a crucial liaison between the Partnership and the missionaries with whom the Church works alongside.
Our Helping Hands Committee organizes church lunches, Communion, and special events.
Our Team Lay Counseling team seeks to offer Biblical counseling for members of our Grace church family. The team is trained to encourage, comfort, and equip our Partners and friends as they navigate through life's challenges.
