Younger children learn to seek the Kingdom of Heaven through Bible stories, songs, crafts and games. Our focus is for children to understand how the many stories of the Bible all connect to the one great story and how that story is all about one person: Jesus.
Each week, older children go on an archaeological dig through the Old and New Testaments. Children study Bible stories in greater depth through scripture readings, games and activities. Children learn how the Bible is connected to the story of the world and how God wants to be a part of their own life story.
We have three major family events each year that serve to both grow our children's friendships and encourage them to welcome others into our community.
Easter Egg Hunt
In the spring, we have an Easter story egg hunt on Easter morning, just before the service. A twist on the classic tradition, children learn the Easter story, as told by candy.
In autumn, we have a harvest festival, filled with classic fall games and a pumpkin demonstration that helps tell a modern parable.
In winter, we host a children's Christmas party with plenty of Yuletide fun, games and food. Children learn about the forgotten meanings behind many Christmas customs, such as candy canes and turtledoves.
