Grace GArdens

0-2 years old

At this age, it's all about play! Babies are comforted and fed. Toys and games encourage children to practice their budding motor and social skills. Our nursery workers are available throughout the service. When you check your child in, you will receive a wristband with your child's number. For security purposes, whichever adult picks up the child must return this bracelet. You may drop off any drinks and peanut-free snacks you wish your child to have during the service. Please remember to label all items with your child's name.

Grace Kids

2 years old-5th Grade

Children sit with their families for singing and worship. After children are dismissed from the service, they gather all together for Grace Kids Time. This time includes kids' songs and a demonstration of the weekly Bible lesson which is designed to be appropriate for even the youngest attenders. Kid volunteers are invited up to help act out the story with costumes and props. Each week's lesson connects to one of the Fruits of the Spirit as children learn to apply the Bible's values in their everyday lives. Children then attend classes that help them further understand the lesson, with activities and content that are appropriate to each age group.

The Lighthouse

2-4 years old

Preschoolers learn to be lights to the world through short, fun activities based on the weekly story and Fruit of the Spirit. This is followed by free-play time, which helps them to adjust from a nursery to a Sunday school class setting.

Lighthouse parents are asked to accompany their children downstairs at dismissal time to check them in and receive a wristband with the child's number. For security purposes, whichever adult picks up the child must return this bracelet. If you would like your child to be fed during play time, you may drop off any drinks and peanut-free snacks in labeled containers.

Kingdom Seekers

Kindergarten to 2nd grade

Younger children learn to seek the Kingdom of Heaven through Bible stories, songs, crafts and games. Our focus is for children to understand how the many stories of the Bible all connect to the one great story and how that story is all about one person: Jesus.

Raiders of the Good book

3rd to 5th grade

Each week, older children go on an archaeological dig through the Old and New Testaments. Children study Bible stories in greater depth through scripture readings, games and activities. Children learn how the Bible is connected to the story of the world and how God wants to be a part of their own life story.

Special Events

We have four major family events each year that serve to both grow our children's friendships and welcome visitors into our community. In the spring, we have an Easter story egg hunt on Easter morning, just before the service. A twist on the holiday tradition, children learn the Easter story, as told by the candy inside their eggs. In summer we have a country fair-style family picnic on the front lawn, filled with classic summer games and grilled food. In autumn, we have a harvest festival, filled with seasonally-inspired activities and a pumpkin-carving parable. In winter, we host a children's Christmas party with plenty of Yuletide fun, games and food. Children learn about the forgotten meanings behind many Christmas customs, such as candy canes and turtledoves.

Other smaller family-friendly gatherings are planned throughout the year and kids have a play date one Sunday afternoon a month during the parent small group. Check out our Calendar and Small Groups pages for more information.
