During the Sunday service, children 3 years old to 5th grade remain with their families for singing and worship. After children are dismissed from the service, they gather all together for Grace Kids Time. This time includes kids' songs and a demonstration of the weekly Bible lesson which is designed to be appropriate for even the youngest attenders. Kid volunteers are invited up to help act out the story with costumes and props. Each week's lesson connects to one of the Fruits of the Spirit as children learn to apply the Bible's values in their everyday lives.
After their dismissal, children attend one of three classes that help them understand the lesson, with activities and content that are geared to each age group:
Preschoolers learn to be lights to the world through short, fun activities based on the weekly story and Fruit of the Spirit. This is followed by free-play time, which helps them to adjust from a nursery to a kids church setting.
If you would like your child to be fed during play time, you may send them down with any drinks and peanut-free snacks in labeled containers.
Younger children learn to seek the Kingdom of Heaven through Bible stories, songs, crafts and games. Our focus is for children to understand how the many stories of the Bible all connect to the one great story of God's love for the world, and how that story is all about one person: Jesus.
Each week, older children go on an archaeological dig through the Old and New Testaments. Children study Bible stories in greater depth through scripture readings, games and activities. Children learn how the Bible is connected to the story of the world and how God wants to be a part of their own life story.
We believe raising children to know and share God's love with others extends beyond the home. Parents meet to encourage one another through a monthly Bible study each second Saturday of the month at 5pm.
Childcare is provided.
Each first Sunday of the month there is a special family activity for parents and kids right after the service. These activities include volunteering, picnics and special holiday events.
